Patrol vessel KS-100A

Patrol vessel KS-100A (Fig. 1X.6). The shallow draft, the absence of protruding parts on the bottom and the protection of the propulsion device allowed this vessel to find wide application, primarily on shallow timber floating routes with high current speeds, ripples, a clogged fairway. Vessels KS-100A are classified as class P. They have a relatively high speed (up to 7.8 m / s), they are successfully operated in timber floating works and in large river basins.

The steel hull of the vessel with a transverse set system by two transverse bulkheads is divided into three compartments. The thickness of the bottom plating is 4 mm, the sides are 3 mm, the deck is 2.5 mm. In the wheelhouse, there is a control panel with devices that control the engine operation, a fuel level indicator, and a motor-hour meter. There is also a steering wheel, a jet propeller flap control lever, a fuel feed control lever, a clutch control pedal, a transfer case lever for activating the propeller, a lever for remote release of the towing rope from the drop-down towing hook.

The jet propulsion unit is fully integrated into the aft part of the hull and consists of an axial pump with five blades on an impeller with a diameter of 0.392 m, a straightening device, a system of forward and reverse water lines and reversing-steering device dampers. In the water intake of the propeller there is a longitudinal protective grill that protects the impeller, straightening apparatus and flaps from damage. Reversing-steering device is adjacent to reverse water ducts. Reversing and steering the vessel forward and backward is carried out by turning the shutters. When reversing, both dampers converge and completely block the forward water conduit, directing the water into the reverse water conduits, smoothly turned towards the bow of the vessel.

The double-drum aft winch works with the engine off. Traction effort on the working drum is 50 kN, on the auxiliary one - 27 kN; the rope capacity of the drums is 100 and 200 m, respectively. A towing hook is attached to the winch frame.

The crew of the vessel is 2 people. The ship is allowed to transport a supernumerary organized group of workers (5 people).
Special vessels for work in zapany.
